For hours now I've been struggling on whether to make a post about what happened today or not. Guess I couldn't tame the butterflies in my stomach that I had to write about it!

Okay. After yesterday's break (and too much DVD marathon), I had a hard time getting out of bed today. Lack of sleep maybe (which is no surprise), but today is just the laziest of all the laziest days that I had. I came in the office late (like what's new), opened my desktop, checked my email and just stared blankly at the monitor. I had like a hundred trips to the bathroom just to have a minute nap (if there is such) while leaning on the door! I texted people and no one replied. (Oh! Paul replied and I asked him for his YM so we could chat but I don't know what happened to his Yahoo! Messenger. Whatevs! JP (my constant chat mate these days) wasn't online too. I also buzzed Jucile but she's busy. And April Joyce wasn't using her Globe sim!) Pleeaassee people! I could have died of boredom today!
Anyway, when lunch time came I decided to go to Ayala. I normally just stay in the office and have oatmeal for lunch (couldn't take the heat outside or is it the heat?=p) but today I texted Leo where he plans to eat. He didn't reply. So there, I went to Ayala alone just so I could walk away from the thoughts of white sheets and dreamland while in the office. I needed to wake my system up! I was like a walking zombie at noon I swear! I didn't have any idea where to eat so I just looked around. And then guess what! I bumped into two old friends...friends I knew from a YFC (Youth for Christ) youth camp way way back grade school (or was it high school..or maybe summer before I started high school). Whatever! Geez! It was such an OMGIGD (Oh my gosh, I'm gonna die) moment, I swear! Why? One of the guys was like my biggest crush in that youth camp ever! They are brothers, by the way, and the older one was a friend's crush too. Gosh! Told you this is too high school! But I swear I went gaga for awhile. I mentioned that I lacked sleep right? So there...I haven't seen them for ages and this was supposed to be my moment and I was a total mess... I had raccoon eyes. I didn't wear any make-up, not even lip gloss. I didn't comb my hair. UUrrggghhh...I died. Okay, we chatted for awhile. (We shook hands by the way!LOL) The brother was bringing his gym bag. He just came from a football practice (there's this int'l football league going on, idk) and my crush was still carrying his backpack (yes Paul, the boy-outdoor kind of way!haha). He just came from a dive. He was all tanned. Sigh. Our conversation started this way:
Me: Hey...
The brother: Koren?
Me: Koren, Karen..whatever..
My crush: Karen as in Karen (my family name)? I haven't seen you in a long time. I did not recognize you!
I almost fainted when he said that. LOL. So it was a short conversation. More like a hi-hello-goodbye. The brother asked for my number then we all left.
I was a walking zombie at noon still but this time a smiling zombie!hahaha I lost my appetite. I mean, it felt like I didn't need lunch anymore (I didn't have breakfast btw). whew! So there I wandered around Ayala when again I bumped into my crush! Okay, I saw him from afar and just pretended I didn't see him until he was like 2 meters away from me. This time he was alone. Seemed like he was waiting for someone (a girlfriend perhaps). We stopped for a little conversation. I remember he mentioned he just came from Moalboal for a dive and it happens that my friends and I are actually planning of going there Sunday so I asked about the place. I totally sucked! It sounded like I was just looking for an excuse to make a conversation! Damn! I asked what bus/van to take, what resort to visit. I asked about the food, even the fare. I swear it was an honest inquiry. But I also couldn't forget the fact that he knew I liked him way back. Sigh. He said I looked different. (I was an ugly duckling in high school. If that was a compliment then I must be a swan now! kidding!) He said I'm all grown-up now! Hellloooo!!! We only have like one or two years age gap!hahaha And guess what! We exchanged numbers. He told me to just text him if I have other inquiries about the place. Fine. Gosh! I hope I didn't make pa-cute! I only remember talking a lot.
I wish I had prepared for this day. Wish I had worn a different top. Wish I had a li'l make-up on. Nevertheless, that moment was like the most surreal five minutes of my life. I wanted to post a photo of him but if he finds out about this post, I will totally die. He just has the cutest smile ever. Sigh.
